For all the details, see Uptown Update’s page.
Don’t forget about NUNA’s annual summer block party this Saturday, August 8, from 2:00-8:00 pm. Because of this, Magnolia Avenue will be closed from Argyle to the Bezazian Branch parking lot.

Bring food or soft drinks to contribute to the potluck, plus plates and cutlery. Don’t forget donations of toiletries for Sarah’s Circle. See you there, rain or shine!

In light of the increasing traffic to the budding Uptown Entertainment District, the 46th Ward office is asking residents to vote on whether to adopt zoned parking within each block club area. They are holding a meeting for NUNA’s area on July 22, 2015, from 7:00 – 8:00 pm at Margate Park to discuss this and talk about the voting process. You can vote at the meeting, by stopping by or calling the 46th ward office at 773.878.4646, or via this online survey until August 1 at 9:00 am.
Thanks to all who came out in the rain to help spring clean the neighborhood on April 25! Teams focused on the areas around Bezazian Library and the post office, as well as the parkway garden at Argyle and Broadway. We also collected a number of books/DVDs and electronics for reuse and recycling. Even our youngest helpers were in good spirits!
Check out our neighbors to the north, the WFCW block club, at their Clean & Green event, which has been rescheduled for May 2.
Meet the developer of the “bar-cade” business (a bar with arcade games) planned for the former Annoyance Theater space. He will be discussing plans for the space and available to answer questions on Tuesday, May 12, 6:30 pm at the 46th Ward office (4544 N. Broadway).
