Holiday Party

The holiday party will be January 21, 3:00 – 5:00, with January 28 as a back up date if no location is available. We will check first with Caravan to support them during construction. If Caravan doesn’t work, we’ll try Furama. We will collect donations for Sarah’s Circle at the event. A budget of $250 was approved.

Al and Sarah need to go to the bank to get him added to the account as treasurer.

Jackie asked if we have renewed our state status as a non-profit. Hui Hwa did so in late summer. We are current.

Discussion of the armed robbery in the alley near Argyle and Magnolia on November 21, as well as a Chicago Tribune reporter whose vehicle was recovered from carjackers near Lawrence and Broadway.

Other new business:

No one has reported problems due to the water main construction on Argyle.
We are invited to a holiday party for members of all the Uptown block clubs on December 11, 5:30 – 8:30, at Provisions Uptown. 10% off purchases during the party.

Anne suggested NUNA build a Little Free Library. Discussion tabled until a future meeting when Sarah Lu is in attendance, as she has built one.

Joe says that two people are trapping all the feral cats in the city and taking them to shelters. Al has one in his yard that he feeds. Hui Hwa sees one every night. Neighbors are not seeing as many rats lately.
